Song Lyrics This vote is now closed. Please click here to see which location won! It’s time, once again, for another Drop Me Anywhere vote! How did I come up with the theme for this vote? Well, on the last vote, you decided to “drop me” in Budapest to find love and, as I told you in A Love Letter, I fell in love with the great city of Budapest itself. As has been the case in many other love affairs I’ve had, this too ended. Yes, Budapest, you were my lover, but it’s time to leave you. The great singer/songwriter, Paul Simon, sang about this very thing in his iconic song Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover. And since the first two Drop Me Anywhere votes had musical themes (I Gotta Fly to St. Somewhere and Take Me to the River), I thought we’d go back to our roots. This vote is a take-off on that Paul Simon song, and you get to help me leave my lover. First, a reminder of the classic chorus to Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover: Just slip out the back, Jack Make a new plan, Stan You don’t need to be coy, Roy Just listen to me Hop on the bus, Gus You don’t need to discuss much Just drop off the key, Lee And set yourself free. And now the vote. Please click on the dot next to the location you think I should travel to after India. We’re keeping it in Asia for another vote but, as there are many countries on this continent, there are some great choices. You can even vote for a different location in Asia in the “other” category if you can name a song lyric with it. You can vote once per day per electronic device and I encourage you to do so. In fact, each time you read one the articles posted about India, how about scrolling back up to the top of the page and clicking on the current vote. Many of you read these articles regularly, but I sure would love it if all of you would vote. The voting closes on March 30th at 11:00am EDT, 8:00am PDT and 8:30pm India Time (just like St. John’s, Newfoundland, they throw in an extra half hour)
