Well, hello there. Yes, I know, it’s been awhile. So much is happening as I try to make some bucks. This means leading some tours, pitching and writing magazine articles (if you follow Drop Me Anywhere on social media, you’ll have seen those posts), opening a women’s tour company (more to come on that later), and trying to finish the Drop Me Anywhere book in between. Oh, and also giving speeches, which leads me to Ignite Phoenix.
Tomorrow evening, Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 6:30pm Phoenix time (that’s 9:30pm on the East Coast and 6:30pm on the West Coast because of Phoenix’s whole, “we don’t need no stinkin’ daylight savings time”) I’ll be one of 19 speakers in a sort of mini-TedTalk. Guess what I’ll be speaking about. . . yup, Drop Me Anywhere and how I traveled around the world without a plan on your votes (see, you get an honorable mention in the speech).
The parameters for the speech are: 5 minutes and 20 slides which advance automatically every 15 seconds. There’s no teleprompter or notes which is a huge challenge for my menopausal riddled mind which will most likely have me forgetting when to show up. (Oh yeh, 6:30 Phoenix time, 9:30 east coast and 6:30 west coast.)
Why mention the east and west-coast times? Because the event will have a live feed. Yup, you can watch this live at the Ignite Phoenix Facebook page. If you’re free, check it out. And throw me some support on the Drop Me Anywhere Facebook Page, Twitter, and Instagram.
Afterward, you’ll find me drinking a fine scotch at the closest bar.
