For our next vote we’ll stick with the musical theme. This time, a tribute to the Talking Heads. No, we won’t be “Burning Down the House.” But they did sing, “Take Me to the River.” So which river do you think they were talking about?
Remember, you can vote once per day. I’ll choose a location, or locations along the winning river.
Note: This vote will close on April 30th at 12:00midnight EDT/9:00pm PDT. The link to the Kickstarter campaign is here. Please consider donating to help Drop Me Anywhere become a book.

Just an update on the current vote – It seems that you’re jumping outside the box again. You people are impossible to control – it’s like herding cats. I’ve given you choices but you seem to like that “other” box and writing in your own candidates.
So, currently in first place with 12 votes – the Willamette River (that’s in Oregon).
Next is the Tiber
Followed by the Danube
Then the Mississippi
With the Zambezi and the Hillsborough River (that’s in Florida) in last place.
You still have lots of time to vote and remember, you can do that once per day per electronic device.
Another update – Wow you folks are competitive. Voting was a bit busy today with some new locations being thrown into the mix.
Yes, the Willamette in Oregon is still holding down 1st place, and in 2nd is the Tiber followed by the Danube. But now we have the Mississippi and the Nile (a new entry) tied for 4th. And in 5th place, another new entry the River Hull (that’s in England). Finally, tied for last place, the Amazon and the Hillsborough River in Florida. So my Talking Heads, have you voted today? Take Me to the River!

Hello VTB’s (Virtual Travel Buddies)! Thought I’d give you an update on the voting as of 4/20:Voting ends in 10 days!
In 1st place so far with 74 votes is the Willamette River in Oregon – Wine, they make wine there.
In 2nd place with 42 votes is the Thames River in England – Oh, the cream tea!
Coming in 3rd with 13 votes is the Tiber in Italy – Pizza! Yay pizza!
With 10 votes each, tied for 4th place are the Danube and the Nile – I have no idea what the food or drink is in these places but I’ll let you know what I try if you send me.
The Mississippi and the Zambezi are tied with 6 votes each – Oh, New Orleans food, I love it all! The food along the Zambezi in various African countries would be an experience (I’ll admit that I’ve been to Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa but the food didn’t make an impression.
Lingering behind we have the River Hull in England, the Amazon (that would be cool), the Murray River in Australia and the Hillsborough River in Florida.
Only 1 more day to vote on where I’ll be traveling to in May.
