Here we go, time for the next vote. As I’ve realized that I’m currently traveling in what’s known as the Ring of Fire, Johnny Cash has been ringing in my head. And, since the Ring of Fire is a large series of volcanoes circling the Pacific Ocean (though Johnny was singing about love), well, Jimmy Buffet’s song Volcano has also been ringing in my ears. These ear-worms (yup, that’s what it’s called when a song gets stuck in your head. I’ve heard that if you sniff cinnamon it will kick it out, but it only gives me ear-worms of Christmas songs) well, they won’t go away ,so I think maybe it’s a sign that I need to get me to a volcano.
In Jimmy’s song he sings, “I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know where I’m a gonna go when the volcano blows.” Well, I don’t know either, but you do. I’ve listed a variety of volcanoes in the Pacific Ring of Fire and I’m asking you to choose which one I should visit. As always, I’ve listed an “Other” category which you can click on and write in another option as long as it fits the theme “Pacific Volcanoes” and there are no visa issues which prevent me from going.
As I’m currently in New Zealand, I’ve given the option of a few Australia locations as it’s close by, very large, and seems to have a lot of volcanoes (heck, the whole place could blow up and disappear before I even get there).
As I got this vote up late (lots of indecision until I finally realized that’s why you vote; so I don’t have to make these decisions), this will be a quick one. Only two weeks to vote. Voting closes on July 31st at 6:00pm Eastern Time/3:00pm Pacific Time. That’s 10:00am on August 1st here in Auckland (I’m a woman ahead of my time) and 10:00pm Greenwich Mean Time (apparently, they’re mean in Greenwich).
Don’t forget, you can vote once per day per electronic device. Please share on social media because sharing is caring.
While I wait for the vote to come in, I’ll go sniff some cinnamon and. . . I fell in to a burning ring of fire. . .oh, crap, please tell me where to go.

Just an update on the “Other Category – we have 3 votes for Mt. Saint Helens in Washington and 1 vote for Ecuador. Please feel free to join in on those votes if you’d like by clicking “other” and typing in that, or another option.

Hello VTB’s (Virtual Travel Buddies for the newcomers). With nearly 3 days left in voting, here are the results as they stand thus far:
In first place, with 24% of the votes is Rarotonga (Cook Islands
Next is Savi’i (Samoi) with 19%
Lord Howe Island (Australie) has 15%

Haleakal (Maui, Hawaii) has 10%
Mt. Yasur (Vanuatu) has 6%
Mount Hypipamee National Park (Cairns), Mt. Napier (Victoria), and Mt St. Helens (write in candidate) all have 3%
And with 1% we have Tower Hill (Melbourne/Victoria) and Cradle Mountain -Tasmania (write in).
We also have write a write in vote for:
Ecuador, which doesn’t seem to qualify for the theme Pacific Volcanoes.
Michigan, which doesn’t seem to qualify for volcanoes at all.
And Hell. Yup, someone was original and voted for me to go to hell. If they’re joking, well, I’ve already made that joke many times on this website and, if they’re not joking, well, who peed in your CoCoa Puffs? New Zealand’s been very cold so at least hell would be war. Don’t forget to vote!
